  I had preconceived ideas as to what I would expect as I had read the menu online & the prices were quite high. The day was wet, we parked the car & navigated our way through puddles & up the bluestone path where weeds fought their way through sad looking plants. Moss was growing on the steps. The outside dining area was a mess. Dirty glass “pool fencing” surrounded the slippery concrete dining area. A mixture of dated, dirty glass tables & tatty, cobwebby chairs with old timber tables & long timber seats - a mish-mash I thought. The huge bright green outdoor umbrella had huge rips & tears in it that allowed big blops of rain to drip on ourselves, table & food. It was our choice to sit outside, so we didn’t mind a few raindrops.

  Our friends were told that we would need to order inside as they don’t take food or drink orders outside. My friend & I decided we’d order from the Seniors Menu as we both only felt like a small lunch. No Seniors Menu available on the weekends, so our fish & chips & side salad was a hefty $27.50 each!! Our husbands both had the Seafood Stir-fry which both agreed was rather small for its $32.50 price tag. The meals were ok, really nothing to rave about. The chips were quite pale looking & not very hot or crunchy. The flake was ok but I have had better elsewhere. Both my friend & I had a dessert - she a Passionfruit Tart (which at one stage she sucked her cheeks in & squeezed her eyes shut as it was particularly sour), I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake, nice desserts but not worth the $13.50 price.

  Met friends for lunch, my husband’s & my first time, our friends had been here before. They arrived before us & as it was terribly noisy inside (wooden tables with “plasticky” looking chairs on weathered floors) decided we would eat outside.

  Went today after booking. Welcoming, friendly staff, service excellent & food excellent. Maybe there is a problem with service when people just show up without booking, but we had no problem. Whole experience was wonderful. Glad l didn't take the few not so nice reviews on board
